My Gym was born out of our passion to teach children in a fun, physically engaging environment. We delighted in seeing children's eyes light up for all those incredible milestones, from the tentative first steps to tumbling down soft mats. Sharing the parents’ excitement at their children’s accomplishments was the high point of our day.
Picture this: In 1983, three fitness enthusiasts—Yacov, Susi Sherman, and Bill Caplin—redefined children's fitness by blending dance, gymnastics, and athletics. That's the birth of My Gym! Their mission: create a space just for kids—no more sharing mom's or dad's gym, but My Gym. With backgrounds in dance, gymnastics, and athletics, they crafted a unique fitness curriculum focused on non-competitive skill building for ages 6 weeks to 14 years. Fast forward: Cory and Monique turned My Gym into a franchise sensation in 1994. The success was undeniable, growing from 100 kids to over 400 in a year. Now a global phenomenon, My Gym is consistently ranked the #1 children's program worldwide.

Ryan DebinOwner
Ryan Debin’s journey with My Gym began in 2012 when his own children were enrolled and absolutely loved every class. When he learned the owner was selling, Ryan saw an opportunity to keep that special experience alive — for his family and for others in the community.
What started with one location soon grew into a passion for helping families discover the joy, confidence, and connection that My Gym brings. Today, Ryan owns and operates multiple My Gym locations across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York.
Through his company, Momentum Enterprises, Ryan also operates other well-loved family and fitness brands in the area — including Launch Entertainment, Wimbledon, Club Elevate, and Retro Fitness.
Ryan hopes that your family loves being part of My Gym just as much as his did — and that your kids leave every class smiling a little bigger and standing a little taller.
Craig joined the My Gym Newton family in 2015, became Assistant Director in December of 2016, and relocated to the Burlington location in 2017. He now not only oversees all of the Momentum Enterprises My Gym locations, but is the Director of Operations for all of Momentum Enterprises. Craig earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Fitchburg State University. Craig loves sports, fishing, and food!
Marcus joined the My Gym family at our Medfield location in August 2022 before moving to Newton as Assistant Director in October 2023. In October 2025, he was promoted to Director of our Newton location, where he loves helping kids build confidence while supporting an amazing team. Outside of My Gym, Marcus enjoys playing and watching just about any sport he can!
Freh joined the My Gym family in December 2023 at our Medfield location before moving to Newton as Assistant Director in April 2025. When she's not at My Gym, you'll find her spending time with her family and dogs, cooking up something new, or relaxing with her favorite video games.
Fiona joined the My Gym family in April 2025 and quickly earned a promotion to Shift Lead, thanks to her positive attitude and leadership. Fun fact: she was named after a princess, and she brings that same sense of fun and confidence to every class!
Rachel joined the My Gym Newton family in October 2025 and loves creating a fun, encouraging environment where kids can learn, play, and grow. A fun fact about Rachel? She actually celebrated one of her childhood birthdays at My Gym, making it extra special to be part of the team!
Leila joined the My Gym Newton family in September 2025 and has been bringing fun, energy, and plenty of smiles to every class ever since. Her favorite fun fact? She has a habit of spontaneously breaking out into forward rolls at work—you never know when you'll catch one!
My Gym is consistently ranked the #1 children's program worldwide. And our awesome, fun teachers are the main reason behind that.
