My Gym was born out of our passion to teach children in a fun, physically engaging environment. We delighted in seeing children's eyes light up for all those incredible milestones, from the tentative first steps to tumbling down soft mats. Sharing the parents’ excitement at their children’s accomplishments was the high point of our day.
Picture this: In 1983, three fitness enthusiasts—Yacov, Susi Sherman, and Bill Caplin—redefined children's fitness by blending dance, gymnastics, and athletics. That's the birth of My Gym! Their mission: create a space just for kids—no more sharing mom's or dad's gym, but My Gym. With backgrounds in dance, gymnastics, and athletics, they crafted a unique fitness curriculum focused on non-competitive skill building for ages 6 weeks to 14 years. Fast forward: Cory and Monique turned My Gym into a franchise sensation in 1994. The success was undeniable, growing from 100 kids to over 400 in a year. Now a global phenomenon, My Gym is consistently ranked the #1 children's program worldwide.

Megan Owner
Ms. Kelly Started working at MyGym in August 2018. She is Certified though NASM as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Nutrition Coach, and is a certified Physical Therapist Assistant. She loves dogs; specifically bully breeds (has an American Bulldog and Pitbull). Working out is a huge part of her life that she does daily. Ms. Kelly lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and two kids. Her favorite part of working at My Gym is the relationships with the families and watching the kids move through the program over time.
Ms Sam has been with My Gym since 2021! She enjoys the energy the children bring to the gym every day, as well as getting to know their parents! Originally from Frederick, Mayland, came to town and studied at Towson University. Once she found My Gym she knew she found her home! She now lives in town with her boyfriend, a little cat named Este and dog bigger than she is named Mac. Obsessed with all things Taylor Swift and My Gym related!
Ms. Jade has been with My Gym for over a year and serves as shift lead. She currently goes to Penn Foster for a degree in Early Childhood Education. In the future, she hopes to become an Elementary School teacher. In her free time, she loves to go on hikes, go shopping, and participate in pageants. She loves working at My Gym because she gets a chance to make kids smile, and embrace her inner child!
Ms. Bella has been with My Gym since February of 2025. She is currently a student at Towson University majoring in Exercise Science. She hopes to one day become an occupational therapist working with children with special needs. In her free time she enjoys hanging out and studying with friends. She loves the happy atmosphere of My Gym and getting to connect with kids and their families
Ms. Gabby has been at My Gym since March of 2025! She is currently attending Loyola University and intends to get her masters in Education to move to a more administrative roll in schools. She loves the energy the kids bring, as well as their willingness and desire to always want to improve their skills. She finds inspiration in the heart of all of them. She spends her free time studying, playing soccer, and hanging out with her friends!
Ms. Brenna has been with My Gym since September. She is currently studying Business Analytics at Towson University and hopes to become a market researcher. When she's not at My Gym she enjoys hiking, swimming, and hanging out with her friends. She loves My Gym for its close working environment (our My Gym family :-), and seeing how much all of the kids enjoy it here!
Lanai has been with My Gym since September of 2025. She is currently attending Franklin High School and is very interested in becoming a nurse one day. In her free time she likes to Bedazzle things, do hair/lashes/makeup, and go to football games. She enjoys working at My Gym because it is FUN, a great community to be a part of...and of course, because of the KIDS!
