My Gym Preschool Prep Program!
As experts in early child development, My Gym Aurora understands the impact preschool or pre-kindergarten education has on children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development. In our commitment to educate the whole child, we now offer the “My Gym Preschool Prep Program” Monday-Friday, 2 and 3 hour options, 9:30am-12:30pm or 9:30am-11:30am or 12:30pm-2:30pm.
PREP for our younger kids: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00am-11:00am. (2 years old)
This program focuses on imparting to children the skills needed to excel in preschool and beyond. Through our award-winning My Gym fitness curriculum, arts and crafts, stimulating small group and independent activities, and basic academic preschool instruction, our students will transition into preschool and kindergarten with confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. This 2-3 hour program is appropriate for children ages 2-5 years (potty trained preferred) focuses on making learning fun and exciting in the familiar and nurturing atmosphere of My Gym. What do the children do in this program?
Each day, our class will begin with circle time where we will encourage social skill development through group discussion including our "Question of the Day," Calendar, ABC and Number Charts, weather and more.
Our fitness curriculum consists of everything from warm-ups to gymnastic based skill stations, to team games, tumbling, beginning sport skill development and more! Each week, your child will experience a combination of all of these fantastic ingredients.
Our academic curriculum features "Letter of the Day" activities, an art station, a science station, an imaginative/fine motor station, and a book station. Children will be challenged individually according to age and development and instructors will adapt the curriculum as needed.
Do we need to bring a snack?
No, a nut-free snack is provided, please let us know of other allergies so we can have appropriate snack. Please bring water bottle with your child's name on it.
What else do we need to bring?
Parents should bring an extra set of clothes, underwear/pull-up for their child in a backpack or labeled zip-lock bag in case of accidents or messy craft time!
Preschool class is now enrolling and spaces will fill quickly! We are currently offering rates from $139/per every 4 weeks(2 hour option) for one class each week to $875/per every 4 weeks(3 hour option) for five classes each week, depending on options. *Ask about our multi class discount*
