Meet Jessica Perez, the owner of My Gym Cibolo

How did you discover My Gym?

I discovered My Gym while searching for a new means to support myself and my two children. My Gym kept popping up in my research for the best franchises for children’s fitness so I decided to learn more about it. I visited a My Gym in Austin with my 10-month-old daughter and we had a blast! The facility was open and inviting, everything was sparkling clean and the teachers were amazing! The more I learned about the programming and the company, the more I loved it. I just had to join the My Gym family!  

Tell us about yourself.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Kinesiology & Health Promotion, both from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have varied experience in the health field ranging from clinical research in diabetes and laboratory research in neurobiology and cell biology to working with communities, helping them to address the health concerns of their populations. Most recently, I worked with college students as a health educator at UTSA. I took a hiatus from working to spend time with my two young daughters and now I’m excited to bring health and fitness to a new generation of children through the fun and engaging My Gym programs!

What are your hobbies? How do you and your family like to spend your time?

My daughters and I love spending time outdoors at playgrounds and parks, discovering new areas of Texas and trying new foods. We also love reading, making crafts and visiting museums and art galleries. We are always up for adventure and love any opportunity to learn something new!

What are you most excited about in bringing My Gym to your city?

I look forward to watching the children of our My Gym families become more confident as they grow and reach new milestones. I am so excited to help families have fun and create wonderful memories while building lifelong health and fitness habits for years to come.
