How Does My Gym Work?

Membership
Each child that takes classes at My Gym is required to be a member. A child's membership (one time registration) is good for life and honored at all My Gyms worldwide. It entitles you to priority class enrollment and discounts to events, camps and kids night outs, which are open to members and non-members (i.e., members get a $50 discount on birthday parties). In addition, you receive a registration pack with t-shirt and bag. Our Lifetime Membership fee is $75. A sibling membership is $25.
Class Tuition
My Gym classes are run on an enrollment basis where you pay tuition for classes every four weeks. To ensure that we have the appropriate class size, we do not operate as a drop-in program. Our tuition is $99/1 age-appropriate class per week and $129/unlimited age-appropriate classes each week. You will be registered for one 50 or 60 minute "home" class per week depending on the age group. As a bonus with class enrollment you are welcome to attend UNLIMITED Practice & Play sessions each week free of charge. You don't need to sign up in advance for practice and play. You can sign in when you arrive. We do offer discounts for military, siblings and twins.
Enrollment Flexibility and Recurring Billing
We do not require you to sign up for an entire semester and you can join at any time. Instead we bill you every 4 weeks for your following 4 weeks of classes. You will be automatically billed on the first day of your next 4 week cycle. We require all of our members to sign up for a minimum of 8 consecutive weeks as we want you and your child to see the benefits of our classes and our 35 year + experience in children fitness is shown us that it takes at least that for you to see the benefits in your child. The recurring billing will remain in effect every 4 weeks until a cancellation form is submitted at the gym and then your next recurring payment would be the final one.
Sick Policy & Make-ups
The well-being of our families & staff is a top priority. We ask that you keep your child home if they are showing any signs of illness and that you schedule a make-up. Children who are showing signs of illness, ie. coughing, sneezing, etc. may be asked to attend class on another day when they are feeling better. If your child has persistent allergies and is not contagious, please bring a note from your pediatrician.
We have a very generous make up policy for missed classes. There is no need to let us know you are going to be absent from class. If you'd like to attend another class as a make-up please be sure that it is the appropriate age group & that you register for the make-up class online or schedule it with a My Gym staff member 24 hours in advance to guarantee a spot. Make ups will expire in 8 weeks from the date of the missed class or if cancelling out of class once your contract expires, so be sure to take care of your make-ups at your earliest convenience.
In order to reserve a spot in a class for a make-up you simply need to log in to your account online and book it. Your make-up is confirmed online with a confirmation email. If you do not get a confirmation and decide to come anyway, there is a chance you could be turned away if the class is full. Of course we would like to have all of our friends in class and we get sad at the thought of having to turn someone away, but it becomes a safety issue if we have too many people in class. So in order to keep the class fun and safe for all participants we do have to cap attendance at a certain point.
Practice & Play
Class tuition entitles you to bring a class enrolled child free of charge to any of the Practice & Play periods listed on the schedule page. Practice & Play is a bonus for our class enrolled members so there is no need to call ahead. During Practice & Play children have unstructured play time under the supervision of a parent or guardian who is responsible for the safety of their child and those around them.
Sibling of enrolled children may attend Practice & Plays for $5, but are required to be members.
Membership Freezes
As a one time courtesy you can freeze your membership for up to 4 weeks at any time after your first 8 weeks. Just let us know in advance from the date you want the freeze to start. You will not be billed for tuition during your freeze period and we will hold your spot in the class you were enrolled in for you to continue when you come back. The automatic billing will resume once your freeze ends.
Membership Cancellations
You can cancel class enrollment at any time after your first 8 weeks. Your child has a spot reserved in our classes and will automatically remain enrolled until you have signed a cancellation request form. You will receive an emailed copy for your records. At that time, your next payment is your final payment and your contract will expire 4 weeks from that last scheduled payment. Children will continue to attend classes and practice & plays and must complete any make ups prior to the last class date. We do not give refunds for partial 4 week cycles that are not used.
Siblings Policy
During our structured classes older siblings are required to be in the lobby. If a child is younger, they are required to be held or in a baby carrier at all times. They may not run around freely on the equipment during class as it is a safety issue and distraction to the other children enrolled in the class. Siblings may attend practice and plays once they are made a member and pay $5 when they attend.
