Saturday, February 20th, 5:00-6:30 pm
CPR/AED(Infant, Child, and Adult certification) - Includes instruction in CPR for all ages, use of the Automated External Defibrillator, and how to help a victim who is choking.
Blended Learning Courses combine online learning with in-person instruction and the certification exam. After registering (within 24 hrs) you will receive an email with your online course link. You will need to complete your online course prior to the in-person session date. The online course will teach all of the course information and the in-person session provides the hands-on practice and instructor interaction, as well as the administration of the certification exam(s).
Students should plan for the online courses to each take approximately 2-3 hours to complete, depending on personal pace. However, they don't have to be completed all in one sitting. You will be able to stop and start again and the program saves your place. The instructor will not be re-teaching everything in the online course and expects students to learn the material as they go through it. The in-person session is to practice and show the hands-on skills learned in the online course, with the coaching of the instructor.
Safety 1st has changed the way they teach to help keep you safe during your class
Taking advantage of blended learning participants individually complete online courses prior to attending an abbreviated in-person session for the purpose of practicing and demonstrating the hands-on skills. This significantly cuts down on classroom time during the age of COVID.
In any classroom setting, we social distance and require masks.
Each person uses his/her own sanitized CPR mannequin (that we provide) and we do not touch mouths to them anymore.
