Practice & Play is a time reserved for kids of all ages to enjoy the gym in an open-play concept. All memberships come with at least one Practice & Play session a week, and it serves as a great complement to your child's structured age-appropriate classes.
At every Practice and Play, a skilled My Gym teacher helps the children practice the skills we're working on in their class week-to-week. As they perfect their skills, they'll also be having tons of fun getting to explore the gym at their own pace. Parental supervision on the gym floor is required – regardless of your child's age – so come prepared to play! Advance booking online is REQUIRED.
We have created a class just for Home Educated Children to give them a fantastic outlet for structured physical activity in a nurturing, professional, state-of-the-art environment.
This class for 3 to 8 year olds will be a mixture of relays, gymnastics and fitness games from our Mighty Mites/Whiz Kids classes and obstacle courses from our Ninja Training classes!
These children are now ready to refine and master basic gross motor skills such as running, jumping, hopping, skipping, throwing, kicking and catching. The class is designed to prepare a child for group sports and instill a sense of confidence in connection with physical activity. The children build strength, balance, agility, flexibility and coordination in this 55 minute program, as our instructors maintain a positive, supportive and non-competitive atmosphere. Our kids are showered with praise as they develop perseverance and self-control.
The 'Ninja' element is designed to be fun and challenging while remaining safe and non-competitive. Classes will focus on developing strength, stamina, and agility in relays, conditioning exercises, games, team-building and, of course, obstacle courses that change every week. Kids will be challenged mentally and physically, while instilling a mindset of overcoming adversity both inside and outside of the gym!
The classes, unlike other My Gym classes will be term-time only.
