My Gym Policies and FAQ's
Below is all the information on how things work at My Gym. Of course, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us or give us a call!
HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH US
Email is easy! You can also claim your online account and do almost everything online. Including: schedule makeups, book a birthday, change your credit card information, cancel your account, enroll for a trial class/event/camp, and more! Our email address is email@example.com. We are able to check and respond to emails fairly quickly in between teaching classes. You may also call and leave us a message and we will return calls as soon as possible. Please always leave us a message, as we do not have a secretary. Our Facebook page is where you can quickly get info on our upcoming events too!
Each child that takes classes at My Gym is required to be a Member. Your membership is good for your lifetime and honored at all My Gyms worldwide! This means that if you leave My Gym classes and come back later on, you will NOT be required to pay another membership fee. It entitles you to priority class enrollment and discounts to events which are open to members and non-members (i.e., Birthday Parties, Camps, Parents’ Night Out). Our Lifetime Membership Fee is only $75. Additional siblings are just $10 for lifetime membership.
My Gym classes are run on an on-going enrollment basis where you pay tuition every 4 weeks for classes. Each billing cycle covers 4 weeks of class. There are no "sessions" so you may jump in at anytime. You are registering for one specific day/time to be your "home" class; the class you will attend each week. Our tuition is $82 every 4 weeks, which includes one structured class per week and 2 out of our 3 free plays each week as a bonus! We do offer discounts for siblings if you'll be enrolling more than 1 child. We strongly believe that the length and quality of our classes/teachers, in addition our immaculate, ever-changing gym configuration makes our program of excellent value.
ENROLLMENT FLEXIBILITY AND RECURRING BILLING
You can join at any time! Your debit or credit card will be billed every 4 weeks on our recurring billing system based on your start date. We require all of our Members to sign up for a minimum of 8 consecutive weeks (2 billing cycles) as we want you and your child to see the benefits of our classes. Our 30+ years of experience in children’s fitness has shown us that it takes at least that for you to see the benefits in your child through our program. You may let us know (at time of registration) that you just want to do the minimum 8 weeks otherwise your enrollment will continue until member has processed a cancellation through their online account. Cancellations must be done through our online portal.
We have an easy make up policy! We do strongly appreciate advanced notice if you have to miss a class, however, if you forget to let us know, or something comes up last minute, you are more than welcome to still make up your class! The system does work best whenever you are able to let us know, so that we can open up your spot for another member. Simply leave us a message at 410-308-1288 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Make-up classes expire on the day of the last paid class once enrollment is cancelled. Make-ups cannot be used to extend enrollment past a cancellation date or used as credit. You may schedule makeups in advance of a scheduled absence. (For example, if you're going on vacation next week and would like to do the makeup before you go away that is perfectly fine). We need to have you marked absent on our end in order for you to schedule a makeup through your online account so always please give as much notice as you can.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: If we ever have to close due to the weather or if your class day falls on a holiday, you have 6 months to reschedule the missed class. When we need to delay opening, close early, or remain closed there will be an announcement on our phone message (call us at 410-308-1288) and it will be posted on our Facebook page. WE DO NOT FOLLOW BALTIMORE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Please be sure to check the message before leaving for your class that day to make sure there have been no changes in the status of the opening.
ABOUT OUR CLASSES: They are super fun! You can expect fun music, high energy, and ever-changing activities to keep the kids engaged and learning. In our parent participation classes the children will participate in circle time with songs, dances, and skills, gymnastics, special rides, swings, games, puppet shows, and more! In our independent classes (parents may leave or wait in lobby) the children will participate in relays, sports skills, gymnastics, cooperative games, and many more challenging ingredients to get them moving and having fun! If you are brand new to My Gym you are entitled to one free trial class. You can sign up on our website. Woohoo!
Each week, children currently enrolled in a class may attend any or all of our Free Plays which are for currently enrolled families only. Consider this as a bonus to your enrollment. If you can make them, great...if not, no problem. Siblings of enrolled children may attend for $5/each per visit, paid when you arrive. Free play is a drop-in event for currently enrolled members so there is no need to call ahead. During Free Play, children have unstructured play time under the supervision of a parent or guardian who is responsible for the safety of their child and those around them. There are no make ups for missed Free Plays. Parents, since you are sharing in the fun, don’t forget your socks! See schedule for current times.
Families enrolled in our programs via automatic billing are able to cancel at anytime (after their 8 week commitment). Cancellation requests need to be handled through your online account. If you have any issues with the online system please email email@example.com. We do not accept verbal cancellation requests. At the time you are requesting cancellation, per your membership agreement you are responsible for one additional tuition payment and your child's enrollment will terminate 4 weeks from the final payment date. Makeups must be completed before your expiration date so try to keep up with them. Once a child's enrollment has ended, makeups are expired. You may set up your cancellation date with us in advance if you prefer.
ARE SIBLINGS ALLOWED ON THE FLOOR?
We do understand that often times older or younger siblings may have the day off from school and need to come along to My Gym for the day, however we do not allow siblings on the gym floor other than infants and we require them be worn in carriers/bjorns. If your child is in a parent-participation class your hands need to be free to spot your enrolled child. You may not put your baby on the carpeted area; he or she must be worn in a carrier or kept in a stroller near the lobby entrance (which is fully visible/accessible for you). You are more than welcome to bring some toys or games for older siblings to play with in the lobby during class. The front lobby is accessible and in full view of the entire gym. We appreciate all of our Members understanding of this matter to ensure that all of our classes are safe, age-appropriate and fun for all! We do offer Siblings classes too!
OTHER PROGRAMS - CAMPS, PARTIES & MORE!
In addition to our fantastic classes, we also offer seasonal camps, camps when school is closed, monthly drop off events and holiday and theme parties. Children do not need to be enrolled in classes, or even Members of My Gym to register for these events although the Member pricing is discounted. Our birthday parties are so fun! These are offered Friday through Sunday where space is available. Your friends and family have exclusive use of the gym and our amazing staff handles all the entertainment and the other details like the cleanup. Invite your guests and leave all the work to us!
