My Gym's Snow Closing Policy

At My Gym, we know your classes are important to you, and as such we only close for inclement weather if we feel it is a necessity due to unsafe road conditions.

In general, if School District 96 schools are closed due to unsafe roads, we are probably also closed for at least part of the day.  If the schools are closed due to extreme cold, then we'll still be open!  It's always toasty in My Gym!

Schools often make the decision to close based on predicted road conditions, and these decisions are made the night before or early in the morning.  If the roads are improved by class time, then we will NOT be closed, despite the local schools' decisions.  Even if we do close, it is usually only for part of the day, until the roads have been made safer.

On weekends, we will make the decision based on the roads at the time we are coming in, so usually around 7:30 or 8 am.  We do not cancel birthday parties for inclement weather without first discussing it with the birthday family: this is always a mutual decision.  If this happens, we will of course reschedule the party at no extra charge!

The best way to find out the status of classes and Free Plays is to check our website or Facebook page.  If you have not disabled texting from us, you will also get a text about any class closings.  We will update our website and Facebook page throughout the day but we are not able to make individual phone calls due to the hazard of bringing staff into the gym through unsafe road conditions.

Regardless of us being open or not, please use your best judgment and don't take unnecessary risks during inclement weather.

Because we offer free Unlimited Classes for everyone, there are no makeups for classes missed due to snow.
