Fees, Information, and Policies for Enrolment
Please read the following carefully to review all terms of enrollment at My Gym:
- There are no siblings allowed on the carpeted area during class. Only children enrolled in the class may participate. Please remember that you are responsible for watching your children at all times during parent participation classes.
- If a different family member, guardian, or friend will be picking up your child, please advise your My Gym teacher during drop-off. Your child will not be released to anyone without explicit instructions from the primary guardian(s).
- Participants are not allowed to bring food or drinks into the play area of the gym.
- My Gym is a peanut-free facility. Please do not bring any snacks or food containing peanuts to the gym.
TUITION FEES FOR 2021:
Tuition is based on a 4-week payment cycle. Payments are due on the day of the first class of each new cycle. Alternate payment arrangements may be made by contacting the office and will be determined on a case by case basis.
Your child will remain enrolled in classes at My Gym until an official Cancellation Request Form has been completed online.
If your child does not attend class or stops coming to class without notification, you will continue to be charged for the classes regardless of attendance until we receive a completed Cancellation Request Form. Your continued payment ensures your child’s spot in that particular class.
*All My Gym Classes are $129 + GST every 4 weeks
When booking your trial please pick your starting class date and time. You will be enrolled for 2 weeks in a row for the class you pick. After the 2 weeks is completed you will be automatically enrolled into the program at the regular rate with UNLIMITED CLASSES!
My Gym offers a 20% sibling discount to families with two or more children registered in our classes. The 20% discount applies to the second or third child.
My Gym accepts credit card as the preferred method of payment for continuous class enrollment.
If you are unable to pay by credit card, you may choose to pay by e-transfer (for e-transfer option please inquire).
A late payment fee of $25 will be charged for any fees outstanding beyond the 2nd class of enrollment cycle, unless an alternate payment plan is arranged through the office.
Credit Card Payments
After 2 weeks of attempts to process a credit card, a service charge of $25 will be added to your balance. If you have lost your credit card or your card has been compromised, please arrange for e-transfer option.
CANCELLATION POLICY:You will automatically remain enrolled at My Gym until you cancel your enrollment and receive an email confirmation from the gym stating your cancellation request has been processed. The preferred method to request a cancellation is to do so from your My Gym account, but we will accept email or text requests as well. It is agreed that, upon cancellation, you may continue to attend the gym until your final day of membership.
Transfers to different levels or times are inevitable for families due to personal schedules and changes in age levels. In the event that a class is full, your child will be placed on a wait list. We will contact you by phone if a space becomes available.
CLASS MAKEUP POLICY:
Please notify the staff that you will not be attending by filling out the Child's Absence Report. If you are unable to attend a class, you are able to book another class for your child's age as an UNLIMITED CLASS as a make up. You can book this class through your online account.
ARRIVAL AND PICKUP:
Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your child’s scheduled class time. If you leave the gym during an unparented class, please arrive 5 minutes prior to the end of your scheduled class to pick up your child. If you are going to be late due to traffic or an emergency, call the gym prior to the end of class. A $10 late fee will be issued for any pick-ups past 15 minutes. Our teachers are not responsible for your child’s safety once a subsequent class has begun.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Participants should dress comfortably and we encourage tucked in T-shirts with shorts, leggings, or jogging pants. All children go barefoot in the gym and adults must wear socks. Hair should be tied back, but please refrain from any high pony tails as it hurts children during tumbling skills. PLEASE LEAVE JEWELRY AND PERSONAL ITEMS AT HOME. Your child’s outerwear must be left in the foyer. My Gym will not be responsible for ANY items that may be lost or stolen.
We are currently asking all adults to wear masks in the facility (Updated July 22, 2021).
My Gym Children’s Fitness Center uses only top-quality equipment that is inspected on an ongoing basis to ensure it is in good condition. The instructors follow a program of safe use of the equipment and you can expect your child to be taught to use it properly.
A child who does not follow the instructions of the instructor and/or who does not use the equipment in a safe manner can hurt themselves or someone else. An infraction of basic safety rules may lead to 2 minutes of sitting out during play time as disciplinary action. My Gym reserves the right to terminate the child’s class in case of aggression towards another child or the instructors. Pro-rated refunds will be calculated accordingly.
ACUTE INJURIES OR ACCIDENTS:
Gymnastics and sport activities involve certain elements of risk and have potential for bodily injury. Even with the best coaching and the best equipment, injuries can occur. Our instructors are trained in first aid and we have well-defined procedures in case of injury.
Gymnasts must inform their instructor immediately if they are injured in any way. The instructor will decide on appropriate action. For a minor injury: ice and rest. For a major injury: prompt medical attention. An Accident report is maintained in the gym with a record of all reported injuries.
In the case of a significant injury, a form will be sent home with your child to indicate the nature of the accident, the treatment given and recommendations.
With injuries that result in absence from the gym, an emergency freeze will be given to the child until the time that the child is able to continue classes.
For the health & safety of our participants and instructors, we reserve the right to remove any child from a class that we feel should not be participating in a class due to heavy coughing, runny nose, fever, chicken pox, flu symptoms, pink eye and/or any other illness that may be contagious and harmful to others. The parent/guardian will be called and asked to take their child home.
If you notice signs of scratching, rash on the neck, or nits growing in the hair, do not bring your child to the gym until the condition has been treated and no sign of nits or lice are present in the hair. If we notice a child in the class with symptoms of lice, we will call the parent/guardian and will remove the child to prevent spreading it to others. Parents/guardians of the other children in the class will be alerted to the occurrence.
Please ensure your child has been to the washroom prior to participating in any of our classes. Going to the washroom in the middle of the class is a distraction for the instructors and the other children. All children in our unparented programs must be fully potty trained and must be able to perform basic hygiene independently. If your child needs help with washing hands or flushing toilets, please stay at the gym so you can help with their needs.
My Gym reserves the right to charge a $50 cleaning and sanitizing fee if your child has any type of body fluid accident in the gym.
VIDEO/PHOTOGRAPHY WITHIN THE GYM:
My Gym has two cameras (one in the lobby and one in the gym) that record these spaces on a continuous basis for safety protocol. This footage is accessible in emergency situations only.
Personal cameras (via cell phones or otherwise) are not allowed in the gym during regular scheduled classes. For special events (when permitted), you may take photos of your child only.
On occasion, My Gym will take photos for marketing and promotional purposes. Without explicit written consent, My Gym will never publish names. If you prefer to not allow your child to be photographed, please inform the staff and we will include a note accordingly on your file.
