My Gym was born out of our passion to teach children in a fun, physically engaging environment. We delighted in seeing children's eyes light up for all those incredible milestones, from the tentative first steps to tumbling down soft mats. Sharing the parents’ excitement at their children’s accomplishments was the high point of our day.
Picture this: In 1983, three fitness enthusiasts—Yacov, Susi Sherman, and Bill Caplin—redefined children's fitness by blending dance, gymnastics, and athletics. That's the birth of My Gym! Their mission: create a space just for kids—no more sharing mom's or dad's gym, but My Gym. With backgrounds in dance, gymnastics, and athletics, they crafted a unique fitness curriculum focused on non-competitive skill building for ages 6 weeks to 14 years. Fast forward: Cory and Monique turned My Gym into a franchise sensation in 1994. The success was undeniable, growing from 100 kids to over 400 in a year. Now a global phenomenon, My Gym is consistently ranked the #1 children's program worldwide.

Hi, I’m Yvette, a Dallas mom of two and the owner of My Gym White Rock.
I opened this location because I wanted to create the kind of place I was always looking for as a parent: somewhere warm, active, welcoming, and genuinely fun for young kids. My Gym gives children a place to move their bodies, build confidence, practice social skills, and feel proud of themselves, whether they are taking their first steps, learning to follow directions, or just needing a safe place to climb, tumble, laugh, and play.
As a mom, I know how much it matters to find activities that feel good for your child and easy for your family. My goal is for My Gym White Rock to become a trusted part of the community for parents, grandparents, caregivers, babies, toddlers, and young kids throughout White Rock, Lakewood, East Dallas, Preston Hollow, and the surrounding Dallas neighborhoods.
