My Gym Louisville Illness & Wellness Policy
At My Gym Louisville, the safety and well-being of our children and families is our top priority. To maintain a healthy environment where all children can learn, play, and grow, we follow a clear and family-friendly illness policy. We appreciate everyone doing their part to keep our gym a safe, clean, and welcoming space.
Why Our Illness Policy Matters
When children attend class sick - even with mild symptoms - it increases the risk of spreading illness to other children, families, and staff. Our illness policy is designed to protect all participants, especially our youngest and most vulnerable. If you know your child will not be attending their scheduled home class, please log into your online My Gym account to mark them absent.

If a Child Becomes Ill During Class
If a child develops concerning symptoms while in the gym (fever, vomiting, persistent coughing, rash, etc.), a team member may ask the caregiver to take them home.
If your child is asked to leave due to illness, you will still receive a makeup for that class.
Makeups for Illness-Related Absences
We want to make things easy for families!
- If you mark your child absent in your online account ahead of time, a makeup is automatically added
- If your child becomes ill suddenly and cannot attend, you can still mark them absent online for a makeup
- If you child has to leave during class due to illness, our team will add a makeup to your account on your behalf.
Makeups never expire as long as your membership is active and can be used for any age-appropriate class with available space.
Hygiene at My Gym
We maintain a clean and healthy gym though:
- Frequent sanitizing of equipment throughout the day
- Deep cleaning mats, swings, bars, and props after every shift
- Hand-sanitizing routines for staff
- Following CDC-informed wellness guidelines
