My Gym was born out of our passion to teach children in a fun, physically engaging environment. We delighted in seeing children's eyes light up for all those incredible milestones, from the tentative first steps to tumbling down soft mats. Sharing the parents’ excitement at their children’s accomplishments was the high point of our day.
Picture this: In 1983, three fitness enthusiasts—Yacov, Susi Sherman, and Bill Caplin—redefined children's fitness by blending dance, gymnastics, and athletics. That's the birth of My Gym! Their mission: create a space just for kids—no more sharing mom's or dad's gym, but My Gym. With backgrounds in dance, gymnastics, and athletics, they crafted a unique fitness curriculum focused on non-competitive skill building for ages 6 weeks to 14 years. Fast forward: Cory and Monique turned My Gym into a franchise sensation in 1994. The success was undeniable, growing from 100 kids to over 400 in a year. Now a global phenomenon, My Gym is consistently ranked the #1 children's program worldwide.

Mrs. JoeLee joined our team in August of 2018. She is a USA Gymnastics certified coach, and currently in charge of all of our Social Media Pages (Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok), and Gymnastics programs! When not at work, you can find her playing Animal Crossing on her Nintendo Switch or playing outside with her 2 dogs, Fluffy and Arlo!
Amelia has been a member of our team since the of Summer 2021. When not at the gym she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and hiking with her dogs Arlo and Fluffy.
Hello my friends! I have been a My Gym teacher since August of 2023. I have a four-year-degree in Exercise Science from UofL. I love coming into work and seeing all the happy smiling faces! You can find me at morning classes Saturday - Tuesday!
I am born and raised in Louisville! I Have been apart of the My Gym Team for 2 years! I was a former My Gym Kid! I am currently in high school. You can find me on Tuesday afternoons, and weekend classes and birthday parties!
