My Gym was born out of our passion to teach children in a fun, physically engaging environment. We delighted in seeing children's eyes light up for all those incredible milestones, from the tentative first steps to tumbling down soft mats. Sharing the parents’ excitement at their children’s accomplishments was the high point of our day.
Picture this: In 1983, three fitness enthusiasts—Yacov, Susi Sherman, and Bill Caplin—redefined children's fitness by blending dance, gymnastics, and athletics. That's the birth of My Gym! Their mission: create a space just for kids—no more sharing mom's or dad's gym, but My Gym. With backgrounds in dance, gymnastics, and athletics, they crafted a unique fitness curriculum focused on non-competitive skill building for ages 6 weeks to 14 years. Fast forward: Cory and Monique turned My Gym into a franchise sensation in 1994. The success was undeniable, growing from 100 kids to over 400 in a year. Now a global phenomenon, My Gym is consistently ranked the #1 children's program worldwide.

Hannah has worked at My Gym since June of 2023 was born and raised in Overland Park. She loves to golf, workout, hang out with friends/family, and go to concerts in KC whenever she can. She is currently a student at KSU!
Mr. Daiveon has worked at My Gym since September of 2023 and loves staying active. He is a personal trainer and also loves his "me time". He is a twin and has a beautiful 9 year old daughter!
Maddy has worked at My Gym since March of 2024! She loves to power lift and can squat up to 300lbs!
Ms. Carmen has worked at My Gym since March 2025. She has also spent some time with our My Gym family in Texas! She loves Cheerleading and attends Avila University.
Avery has worked at My Gym since May of this year! She loves to care for her Guinee pigs and has a background in Dance!
