Possible Vaccination Requirement (Updated 8/30/21)
Public health authorities, government officials, and our team continue to carefully monitor health and safety conditions and adapt guidelines as necessary. As we have done since we began our phased reopening, we’ve been very intentional and gradual in our approach to our COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Based on recent trends, guidance, and pending ordinances/laws, My Gym Long Beach may be making adjustments to these measures.
Note: The change detailed below is not official nor has it been finalized. We are still awaiting guidance from the Los Angeles Department of Public Health and other government agencies. The change below is not yet required and may end up not being required for us at all. Instead, this is a friendly notice of possible occurrence.
Amid a new surge in coronavirus cases and hospitalizations, Los Angeles moved toward requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccinations for some indoor spaces. The Los Angeles Council voted to draft a law requiring patrons to have at least one dose of the vaccine to be able to enter some indoor spaces.
It may be possible that the new law will necessitate us, My Gym Long Beach, and other businesses like ours to require proof of COVID-19 vaccination for everyone entering the building who is eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine (currently everyone 12-years-old and up). It is unclear what the verification process will look like, who it will be required for, how it will be enforced, and when it will start being enforced. The law is currently being drafted and still needs to go back to the council for approval.
At this time, we are not requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination. However, we want our current and future members to be aware that this may be a change coming soon.

Please be aware that:
• At this time, we are not requiring proof of vaccination as a condition of attendance at My Gym Long Beach.
• Everyone is encouraged to sign up for CA Notify as an added layer of protection for themselves and the community to receive alerts when they have been in close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19.
• We strongly encourage all current and future members (who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine) to get vaccinated.
• For your peace of mind, all staff members at My Gym Long Beach are fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
