My Gym was born out of our passion to teach children in a fun, physically engaging environment. We delighted in seeing children's eyes light up for all those incredible milestones, from the tentative first steps to tumbling down soft mats. Sharing the parents’ excitement at their children’s accomplishments was the high point of our day.
Picture this: In 1983, three fitness enthusiasts—Yacov, Susi Sherman, and Bill Caplin—redefined children's fitness by blending dance, gymnastics, and athletics. That's the birth of My Gym! Their mission: create a space just for kids—no more sharing mom's or dad's gym, but My Gym. With backgrounds in dance, gymnastics, and athletics, they crafted a unique fitness curriculum focused on non-competitive skill building for ages 6 weeks to 14 years. Fast forward: Cory and Monique turned My Gym into a franchise sensation in 1994. The success was undeniable, growing from 100 kids to over 400 in a year. Now a global phenomenon, My Gym is consistently ranked the #1 children's program worldwide.

Elle has been working at My Gym since April of 2016. She loves that it's like one big family, where the children rise to new challenges and fill our lives with fun and laughter! In Elle's spare time, she likes to read, take nature walks, play with her pug, and go on adventures with her husband.
Makenna began working at My Gym in December of 2022. She adores the special bonds the gym fosters between teachers and families and its ability to always leave her smiling wider than she was coming in. When not teaching, you can find her practicing yoga, snuggling her cats, and crocheting all the little gifts she can.
Asia began working for My Gym in August of 2025. She loves making connections and watching the growth in every student! In her spare time Asia loves to take out her film camera for themed photo shoots, nap with her french bulldogs, and adventure to new places with her boyfriend!
Mia is an Eastern Nursing student, who comes back to help teach when she's available. We love her sweetness and kindness!
Bella is an Eastern Nursing student, who comes back to teach when she's available. We love her energy and big smiles!
Emily is a senior in high school and plays softball. She loves being a strong coach for the kiddos!
Gavin attended My Gym classes and even had a birthday party here when he was a child. Now, he's come full circle to spread the fun!
