My Gym was born out of our passion to teach children in a fun, physically engaging environment. We delighted in seeing children's eyes light up for all those incredible milestones, from the tentative first steps to tumbling down soft mats. Sharing the parents’ excitement at their children’s accomplishments was the high point of our day.
Picture this: In 1983, three fitness enthusiasts—Yacov, Susi Sherman, and Bill Caplin—redefined children's fitness by blending dance, gymnastics, and athletics. That's the birth of My Gym! Their mission: create a space just for kids—no more sharing mom's or dad's gym, but My Gym. With backgrounds in dance, gymnastics, and athletics, they crafted a unique fitness curriculum focused on non-competitive skill building for ages 6 weeks to 14 years. Fast forward: Cory and Monique turned My Gym into a franchise sensation in 1994. The success was undeniable, growing from 100 kids to over 400 in a year. Now a global phenomenon, My Gym is consistently ranked the #1 children's program worldwide.

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to work with kids or animals. When I was younger, I wanted to be a high school teacher, as crazy as that sounds! At 16, I got my first job as a receptionist at Supercuts and from there graduated beauty school when I was 26, but quickly found that wasn't where I wanted to be. Officially a licensed Cosmetologist, it was very difficult finding a job in the industry so after a few months of searching, I ultimately took the first job offered to me and started working as an Office Manager's Assistant at a screen-printing company. Needless to say, I was still unsatisfied and left after a few months, only to find My Gym just a couple months later. Who knew that I would ultimately fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a teacher at 28?! It's been an amazing experience so far and I'm so thrilled that I get to call this my career!
My Gym is consistently ranked the #1 children's program worldwide. And our awesome, fun teachers are the main reason behind that.
