My Gym was born out of our passion to teach children in a fun, physically engaging environment. We delighted in seeing children's eyes light up for all those incredible milestones, from the tentative first steps to tumbling down soft mats. Sharing the parents’ excitement at their children’s accomplishments was the high point of our day.
Picture this: In 1983, three fitness enthusiasts—Yacov, Susi Sherman, and Bill Caplin—redefined children's fitness by blending dance, gymnastics, and athletics. That's the birth of My Gym! Their mission: create a space just for kids—no more sharing mom's or dad's gym, but My Gym. With backgrounds in dance, gymnastics, and athletics, they crafted a unique fitness curriculum focused on non-competitive skill building for ages 6 weeks to 14 years. Fast forward: Cory and Monique turned My Gym into a franchise sensation in 1994. The success was undeniable, growing from 100 kids to over 400 in a year. Now a global phenomenon, My Gym is consistently ranked the #1 children's program worldwide.

Introducing Kindle, our dedicated and passionate Regional Director overseeing both our St. Mary’s and Waldorf locations. Kindle's journey with us began in 2014 as a dance teacher, bringing her expertise and love for dance to our students. She studied at Frostburg University and has honed her skills over the years through her extensive experience working with children. As our Regional Director, Kindle brings a wealth of knowledge and a visionary leadership style that guides our staff and students toward excellence. Her dedication to the growth and development of our programs has significantly contributed to the success of our organization.
Meet Ms. Makayla, our Regional Director with a heart full of compassion and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children. Joining us in 2021, Makayla began her journey at our Waldorf, Maryland location and has since risen to the role of Regional Director, overseeing both our St. Mary’s and Waldorf locations. Armed with a degree in Social Work, Makayla brings a unique perspective to her role, combining her expertise in social services with her love for working with children. Her years of experience in the field have equipped her with the skills and empathy needed to create a nurturing and supportive environment for our students. Makayla's genuine love for children shines through in everything she does, and her dedication to their well-being is truly inspiring. As an avid artist and painter, Makayla brings a creative touch to her work, infusing each interaction with a sense of imagination and wonder that captivates both children and staff alike. We are privileged to have Makayla as part of our leadership team, driving our mission forward with her unwavering commitment to empowering young minds. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and genuine care for children make her an invaluable asset to our organization.
